This is my 2D Shooter project. I mostly played around with the assets to see what behaviors I could get out of them.

Modifications:

  1. Changed the player character to a straight shooter that fires asteroids that can go through multiple enemies and eat a limited number of bullets. Changed it again to have a few rotate around the main one.
  2. Added new enemies and bosses, some with new sprites. One that runs away from the player. Some that orbits and fires at the player when they do. One that doesn't attack directly and spawns drones that can block shots for it, changing where they spawned relative to the boss made it more difficult, I forgot to toggle off using lives on the drones, but it changed up their positioning and I thought made that fight more interesting. Regular uses 2 live drones, EX uses 3 lives.
  3. Added a public boolean to the enemy script to use on stuff I didn't want to increment the game manager. Took the rotate around script and changed up to forward.
  4. Made a ally that shoots homing healing things.
  5. Changed the level select buttons to stuff that represents what's in them.
  6. Added original song.
